Two Earthquakes Hit Indonesia; 500 Dead
Four earthquakes and a typhoon have rocked Asia in the past month causing massive destruction and damage to numerous Foursquare churches, church members' homes, and a Foursquare Bible college. For our latest update, visit FMI's Prayer Force Update.
A 7.6 magnitude earthquake hit Padang, Indonesia, on Sept. 30, followed by a 6.8 magnitude earthquake today. Padang is the capital of the province of Sumatra with almost 1 million people living there.
It is estimated that more than 1,100 buildings have collapsed, and thousands are believed to be trapped in the rubble. About 500 are currently reported dead, and the number is expected to rise. Foursquare has more than 400 churches in the affected area, but it is unclear at this point the extent of the damage to our Foursquare family.

- Please lift up in prayer these tragic situations and the hundreds of thousands who have been affected.
- Intercede on behalf of our Foursquare pastors and church members in these areas and pray for their wisdom and protection in the days and weeks ahead.
- Ask the Father who works all things together for good to use these situations as opportunities to expand His kingdom.
