Missionaries

A home chapel ministry center and church was started in 2000 by Kelly and Angela Hilderbrand. Kelly graduated from the University of Oregon Honors College in chemistry before God called him into the ministry. Angela graduated from the Univeristy of Hawaii in business and later received her Masters of Education degree from Regent University. After graduating from Fuller Theological Seminary, Kelly and Angela moved back to Angela’s hometown of Honolulu. They attended Hope Chapel Kaneohe Bay before branching out and starting Hope Chapel Honolulu in 1989. Kelly received his Doctor of Ministry degree from International Graduate School in Honolulu in 1998. In 1999, the Hilderbrand family with their two sons moved to Bangkok, Thailand, to begin a new work.

As of January 2009, their home chapel ministry center and church finished construction of a seven-story ministry center. The center houses two churches (Thai and Burmese) that have helped to start four other churches. Several ministries have their home at the center, including: Evangelism Through Church Businesses, WorldBase Thailand, Kid’s Quest children’s ministry, Home Study Center (Tutorial School and English Center with more than 700 students), YoSo Christian Travel Agency, a coffee shop and restaurant, a strong ministry to slum children, a community center, a University Christian club, and other ministries. The ministry center also supports village churches, the ministry of six homes for children at risk of human trafficking, and a school for refugee children.
