Our Strategy to Reach the Nation

The Malawi Foursquare Church currently has over 135 churches that are thriving and reproducing. The Malawian Church has been trained by a system of Theological education by Extension and In-Service Leadership Training programs.

A top priority for church growth continues to be the evangelization of the country’s largest city, Blantyre. The headquarters church was completed in 1997 and continues to grow; this church is working to raise up a generation of young urban leaders. A Bible institute is also in operation to train leaders for ministry.

The Need In Malawi

One of the main objectives is to expand the Church in Malawi by training pastors through In-Service Leadership Training conferences. Funding is needed to sponsor these conferences. The major need presently is for a generation of leaders to catch the vision of the Gospel reaching all of Malawi.

Join Us In Prayer

Pray for the new pastor of the Blantyre congregation and for its members, as they reach out to the community. Pray that they will share the Gospel with their friends and families.
Pray for the continuation of the multi-level system of Theological Education by Extension and In-Service Leadership Training established throughout South Central Africa.
Pray for the planting of churches in the central and northern parts of the country, especially those areas with a high proportion of Muslims.
Contend for a spiritual breakthrough in tithing in local churches so that the work of the Lord can be extended throughout Malawi.
Pray for a release from a spirit of dependency endemic to Malawians.
Pray for relief from drought and widespread flooding that destroys farmland. Pray that reforestation efforts will continue and reduce damage by flooding.
