Your church can send a short-term team anytime throughout the year. There are numerous opportunities listed below which have been specifically requested by our missionaries and leaders around the world. This is not a comprehensive list as the needs on the field can change rapidly. You may notice that some team requests have carried over from last year's list, this indicates an ongoing need. If you have a desire to serve in a country that is not listed, the chances are we can still connect with a great opportunity to serve—we would love to help you investigate the possibilities! Teams Needed: Construction - The team would work alongside Russian believers to help in the construction of one of the few Evangelical church buildings in a city of 1.5 million people. The actual project would depend on the timing and skills of the particular team.

The basic structure of concrete and blocks are in place. The sanctuary will be enlarged over the lower level which will serve as Sunday school rooms. Multiple teams are needed to complete this project. An ongoing children's outreach could take place because Alta mira is full of children and they will be curious!

Southeast Asia
Cambodia
Teams Needed: Medical/Dental - These teams set up a clinic at one of our 90 orphan homes. The medical clinics are open to the local and surrounding villages. Villagers will come from miles around, walking, riding motos and bikes, to reach the clinic. Upon arrival they are greeted by the local pastors and walked through clinic registration. They are given tracts and Biblical reading material. During this time the local pastors are visiting with the villagers and talking with them. Once they have received their medication from the foreign doctors, the local pastors once again meet with each of them one on one, reviewing the tract and sharing the gospel with them. Cambodians are very relational. And by having a medical clinic, it helps draw them into the church. These clinics have all proved to be a very fruitful key in evangelizing and producing fruit that lasts!
Construction - These teams are effective if they demonstrate servanthood to the children/church family and help build and establish the local church. The children get to work alongside with the foreign team for about a week, and see others helping to serve them will impact them. The whole village community will know that the team has come to minister to the children out of God's love. Then on Sunday morning, instead of getting up in front and preaching, the group takes a turn to sit and listen to the Cambodian pastor as he is able to preach and the team helps to affirm him and build him up and draw villagers (who normally wouldn't come to church, but have been watching the team work all week and are curious) to church and there is a door opened between him and the community even wider than before. A lot of manual labor is involved with these teams. But don't worry about being "qualified" to do the job. A national Cambodian worker and a Foursquare ministry team leader are with the mission team the whole time to help direct how to build the project.
