With a population of 3.2 million people, the city of Madrid is a prime location for the WorldBase Field Ministry School of Spain. The country of Spain is 99% Catholic with many Muslim immigrants. The heart of WorldBase Mediterranean is to reach those who have yet to commit their lives to Jesus, and also to be a support to the surrounding Foursquare churches.
Training
The main language of the training is Spanish, however the classes will be translated into English. In this Field Ministry School you will discover how the vision of WorldBase Mediterranean fits into the overall strategy of missions, how to minister in Spanish culture, how to reach across religious barriers, and much more. The school completes with a weeklong outreach into North Africa.
Ministry
The tens of thousands of Moroccans and Algerians living in Spain are immigrants with special and varied needs. WorldBase Mediterranean is determined to share Jesus with them by meeting their felt needs. A primary ministry outreach of WorldBase Mediterranean is "Project Living Water". This outreach was birthed to take advantage of the fact that over two million Muslims have to pass through Madrid every year. Many of these travelers end up camping on the side of the road; through this outreach Bibles in the traveler's native language and bottles of water are distributed.
