Become a Missionary

Missionary

A missionary is an experienced licensed or ordained Foursquare minister that serves overseas on a long-term assignment for The Foursquare Church. The primary roles of the missionary are church planting and leadership development. Missionaries are financially supported by local churches and serve consecutive terms of three to five years.

How to apply as a Missionary

Foursquare is currently targeting various locations in order to send long-term missionaries, and there are other identified opportunities to serve on the field. If the Lord is speaking to you about this and you meet the qualifications listed here, please complete our application request to get started. We will then get in touch with you to explain the full application process and to send an official application.

Missionary Intern

An intern is sent out for three months to one year at a time to assist and support the long-term ministry of a Foursquare missionary. They may serve in various capacities, such as teaching, administration, medical work, computer services, construction, evangelism, various church work, etc. Or they may serve at one of our WorldBases. An intern must be over 18 years of age, is not required to be a credentialed minister and is sent as well as supported by their local church through prayer and financial assistance. It is recommended that they first serve on a Foursquare Youth Outreach team or World Impact Team before applying as an intern.
